Display total hours and minutes even when they exceed a single day.
Copy this formula
=TEXT(B2-A2, "[h]:mm")The square brackets in [h] tell Excel not to roll hours over at 24, so a 30-hour total shows as 30:00 instead of 6:00. It's the right format for cumulative timesheets and durations.
=TEXT(SUM(C2:C10), "[h]:mm")→42:30Total of many durations, past 24h.
The cell uses h:mm. Switch the number format to [h]:mm so hours accumulate.
