Autofitting column width ensures that all your data is visible without manually dragging column borders. This is the fastest way to clean up your spreadsheet layout.

Click and drag across the column headers (the letters A, B, C, etc.) at the top of the sheet to select the columns you want to resize.
Locate the column border
Move your mouse cursor to the right edge of any selected column header until the cursor turns into a double-headed arrow.
Double-click to autofit
Double-click the left mouse button while the cursor is in that double-headed arrow shape to automatically snap the columns to the width of the content.
Ensure you are double-clicking the boundary line between the column headers, not the cells themselves.
