Syntaxe

SIN(number)

The SIN function calculates the sine of an angle provided in radians. If your angle is in degrees, you must multiply it by PI()/180 or use the RADIANS function to convert it before calculating.

Arguments

Exemples

=SIN(PI()/2)

Résultat : 1

Calculates the sine of PI/2 radians (90 degrees), which is 1.

=SIN(RADIANS(30))

Résultat : 0.5

Converts 30 degrees to radians and calculates the sine, which is 0.5.

Why does SIN return an unexpected value?
