Returns a value converted to a number.
Cette fonction fonctionne de la même façon dans Google Sheets que dans Excel — même syntaxe et mêmes arguments.
N(value)The N function converts a value to a number based on specific rules: numbers remain numbers, dates are converted to serial numbers, TRUE becomes 1, and FALSE or text becomes 0. It is rarely used in modern formulas because Excel automatically converts data types, but it is useful for ensuring compatibility with older spreadsheet programs.
=N("100")Résultat : 0
Text strings that cannot be interpreted as numbers return 0.
=N(TRUE)Résultat : 1
The logical value TRUE is converted to 1.
The N function is designed to return numbers only; if the input is not a number, date, or logical value, it defaults to 0.
