DAY

Returns the day of the month for a given date as a number from 1 to 31.

Syntax

DAY(serial_number)

The DAY function extracts the day component from a date value. The result is an integer representing the day of the month, ranging from 1 to 31.

serial_numbererforderlichThe date of the day you are trying to find, represented as a date serial number or a text string.

=DAY("2023-10-15")

Ergebnis: 15

Extracts the day from October 15, 2023.

What happens if the date is invalid?

The function will return a #VALUE! error.
